Choke manifold is an assembly of high-pressure valves and fittings used in oil and gas industry. Primary purpose of choke manifold is controlling (opening and closing) of well stream, as well as lowering or adjusting its pressure during oilfield operation. The main components of choke manifold are adjustable or/and positive chokes, high-pressure valves, and fittings that are mounted on the skid. Choke manifold is designed considering oilfield conditions, such as production rate, ambient and working temperatures, well pressure, and composition of flow. Design standard for choke manifold varies from country to country. However, the most referred standard is API 6A and API 16C.
